My Bio
Hello DeviantART, I'm Justin, presenting you with yet another boring profile description for you and your members to gloss over and probably not read ;). If I have some spare time in the future, I may feebly attempt to make this particular bio more interesting, but alas...

First a description of current work. "Let's Talk..." is my cool-headed, logical side. It takes the popular arguments of the day and boils them down to their most basic moral roots, from which I base my stand points. It is meant to provide an view and point out disagreement I have with an opposing view without insulting holders of those views. Basically, it's how we SHOULD act when talking about politics. "IN OTHER NEWS..." is my more hot-headed and sarcastic side, taking stories that I find to be worth commenting on, and doing just that, as sarcastically and ridiculously as I can. People who disagree with my views should probably read "Let's Talk." People who AGREE will get a kick out of "IN OTHER NEWS..."

My artistic skills are mainly limited to music, particularly jazz piano and composition. However, I also dabble in writing, which is where I suspect most of my contributions will be made. I'm especially fond of fan fiction, including but not limited to writing stories (or music) to go with artwork. My addictions outside of music are many, including Star Trek, Star Wars, X-Men (and nearly every other comic book hero), Avatar The Last Air Bender, Gargoyles, Harry Potter, Firefly, any book or novel series worth reading... and the list goes on to infinity. But you'll probably catch me writing political commentaries more than anything else.

More than anything except perhaps music, I enjoy taking the political arguments of the day and grinding them down to the most basic levels of morality for purposes of analysis. I do this because I think we as a people tend to gloss over the REAL ISSUES involved in an argument in favor of using political talking points to push agendas. If we could get passed this, maybe we'd actually start really communicating instead of just yelling at walls. So you may find some politically charged content from me. Feel free to comment. I, unlike some, actually enjoy the debate, and I can assure you no offense will be taken from an opposing view so long as it is presented respectfully. Emotionally charged or ad-hominem rants will be torn apart and destroyed methodically and with much cruelty... and you will cry. Toodles!

Al Sharpton recently led a rally to honor Trayvon Martin (among others) at West Angeles Church of God and Christ. Along with the usual race-baiting, Sharpton had this to say - "What kind of world are we living in that we can put a black man in the White House, but a black man can't walk through a gated community?" Sharpton neglected to mention that during the Summer of 2011, the Twin Lakes community was under a virtual bombardment of burglaries and break-ins that, according to witnesses, often involved "young black men." These included the theft of a bicycle off of Zimmerman's porch, and a home invasion in which the home owner, Olivia Bertal

In the wake of the Trayvon Martin tragedy, we as Americans should be able to learn a few lessons, the chief of these being the mainstream media can ALWAYS be counted on to bungle any opportunity it has to show objectivism. But some of the lesser lessons hold true as well - first, that a significant portion of Americans are blind to the true tragedy involving race relations in this country; second, that the media appointed defenders of civil rights have no real interest in civil rights; third that the probability of having any significant dialogue relevant to fixing either of the above problems has become, even in the great year of 2012, incre

I read an article on the Huffington Post recently that described some questionable practices here in the states. This comes as the debate between the Obama Administration and the Catholic Church is still at large in the media. Upon reading this article, I realized the debate has somehow changed. We're no longer discussing religious freedom, we're discussing women's rights. How interesting... Liberals are apparently baffled at the archaic and dogmatic opinions of Conservatives (and also seem fascinated by the whole Limbaugh/Fluke thing...)  What's more they have some very strange ideas as to what those opinions are, so in response I thought I'
